From AL-MEHRAN (AMRDWO) to AMRDO Foundation

1998

The Beginning: A Vision Takes Root

Led by Mr. Abdul Jabbar Chhachhar, a group of activists founded Al-Mehran Rural Development & Welfare Organization (AMRDWO). Named after the Indus River ("Mehran"), symbolizing life without discrimination.

2001

Formal Registration

Formally registered as AMRDWO under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, ensuring complete transparency, structured operations, and accountability.

2016

Evolution to AMRDO Foundation

Transformed into AMRDO Foundation in June 2016 with enhanced governance, expanded operational capacity, and multi-sectoral development strategies.

PRESENT

Secured SECP Sec-42 Status

Registered under Section 42 of Companies Act, 2017 with SECP & Sindh Charity Commission. Operating across 21 districts in Sindh with international partners like UNDP, PPAF, IOM & SEF.
